How wonderful it is to be comfortable in your own skin.
Knowing your purpose and asking permission from no one.
Not the least bit concerned of what “people” have to say.
Simply being yourself!
I love blogging! Why? Because I get to interact and learn from people all over the world! What have I determined from our interactions? People, for the most part, want to help. We are generally kind hearted!
Not too long ago, I asked a question of all who visit this community: How do you do it?
You see, I wanted to know what others do to meet the demands of life! I received great suggestions. Feel free to read through the comments to see what you might benefit from. For I have put a few of the suggestions into practice and am currently working on others. Continue reading
It’s early Tuesday morning. I am on my way to my second drop off, before heading to work. I left the house enjoying the breeze, now I find myself in the middle of a thunderstorm. So sudden. What was a bright, smooth, breezy ride, is now a dark turbulent ride. My car appears to shudder with each pounding raindrop. My daughter is going to be late for school and me? Definitely late for work! Continue reading
I have a day off without children! Now this is rare. Mmmm…
I know what I’ll do… I’ll wake up, drop off my children to school. Then I’ll rush home, wash and treat my hair- I’ll even flat iron and wrap it. Maybe I can go and get a muuuch needed pedicure/manicure. If I have time… Ill shop for a new dress and shoes. I goootta buy me a new pair of shoes. You know- the kind that’s illegal in 23 of the 50 states.
Not sure about the state I live in- but I’m willing to take the chance.
As I wrote in my About page, the purpose of this blog is to create a community where women of all ages with varying experiences can form connections that encourage, inspire, and educate. I would be remiss, if I didn’t address topics that cause riffs in many relationships. Jealousy and envy abides near the top.
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who loves the Lord is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:30)
Ah… Such a timeless Chapter- Proverbs 31.
Often referred to, but how do we really incorporate the principles taught here into our lives? For me- there is definitely an opportunity to make this my mantra! In fact…I think that can be true for most of us.
When I think of the woman described here, this… “Proverb 31 woman”, I think: Martha Stewart (prior to the stripes) meets Mother Theresa meets Suze Orman meets Coco Channel. Seriously! This Proverbs 31 woman has all her Ducks in a row. So much so, she is said to be ‘more valuable than rubies’ (Proverb 31:10). This is who many of us aspire to be. I’m no exception!
