I love blogging! Why? Because I get to interact and learn from people all over the world! What have I determined from our interactions? People, for the most part, want to help. We are generally kind hearted!
Not too long ago, I asked a question of all who visit this community: How do you do it?
You see, I wanted to know what others do to meet the demands of life! I received great suggestions. Feel free to read through the comments to see what you might benefit from. For I have put a few of the suggestions into practice and am currently working on others.
One recommendation I recently put into action, is taking time for myself. You know- the infamous “Me Time”. I took it! Actually it was an “Our Time”. We took the day off without them (the kids). It was amazing. To be honest, we haven’t had a day of uninterrupted adult time in so long. So we took advantage and spent time together. We had lunch without having to pull my two year old into a seated position for the 50th time.
No one complained. No bathroom breaks at the most inopportune time. It was NICE! Just gazing into each other’s eyes and exchanging…
Um (clearing throat)… sorry I veered off topic here. My point? My point is: I asked, you answered, I listened, and now I’m back again for more.
Having a glimpse of who I can be apart from my role as a mother (although I love that role and will continue to put it as a top priority), ignited in me a need for more. I fixed my hair nicely and put on something pretty and felt beautiful!
I liked it.
Again I digress- Oy!
Well let me get to the point…
I am looking for insight, ideas, Beauty Tips.
Where are the women…
With babies on their side and hair so perfectly dyed;
with children to put to bed, yet lips so painted red;
How is it possible to be mothering women,
dressed in fine linen?
Hey are you one with no children to care,
yet beauty secrets to bare.
My ears are open, my pen is in hand.
What are your favorite, simple, reproduce-able beauty tips?
Please share.
You know I had to comment on this!!! Yaaaay for setting aside some time for you and your hubby! This is awesome! Here are a few beauty tips for a simple day look: always take care of your skin so moisturize. Use a light coverage base just to even out any imperfections, mascara to open up the eyes, fill in your brows this frames the face very well, and a lip gloss with a tint of color. Let me know if you need any help! Yay Rosey! This is your year girl! God bless!!!!

Nothing like quality family time. I drink lots of water with a bit of lemon. I am make-up free most times of the weeks, or very light make-up to let my skin breath. A nice shiny lip-gloss, white talc and I am happy.

You’re a natural beauty. Water is such a timeless tip! Lip gloss seems to be a hit. Thanks for the tips.

Well, don’t know if I have any beauty secrets. Butttttt, I did decide this year to take better care of my daily appearance, making sure I put makeup on in the morning, dressing decent and so on. Being that I homeschool my son, it’s easy to just put on any old comfy thing and leave the makeup off. This year I decided to take action. Haha.

I’m so happy you and hubby had some alone time…very important! Be sure to keep that practice in place, hubby needs to feel as important as the children.
I have a few beauty tips too…always wash your face at night and moisturize. I love using Purity by Philosophy, it breaks down all makeup and is so great for your skin, I use it with a Clarisonic brush, but that’s not necessary. On Saturday nights, just for fun I do a 10 minute mask, there are so many kinds to choose from. Also I have been so busy with work that I had neglected painting my toe nails, didn’t think much of it, but the other day I finally made time to do them and boy did it put a smile on my face…never used to paint my toe nails until a couple of years ago, now I love it when they are painted.
I also agree with Nina G. she gave great advice on your face makeup.
Pamper yourself whenever you can…you deserve it!! 🙂

All of your tips are great. You are right! I realized how much the alone time meant. So much so that we’ve decided we must put it into practice.
You know, I used to wear face masks. Somewhere along the way, I forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me.
Mani/ pedi are awesome! Especially now that spring is here. I love the bright colors. I’m going full blast this spring!
I’ll look into the purity by philosophy. Thanks again for the wonderful tips!

Great post 🙂 We do not have kids yet so there is a limit to which I can relate but then we-time is always awesome 🙂 Coming to tips I am not a great “fashion-blogger” material but like many have suggested a lip gloss with a tint of color always gives that extra zing. And something which I have been doing since my teenage is to match my dress with the earrings I wear 🙂 Thank you for visiting me and for the follow ❤

I like the earrings and dress matching tip. It adds an extra feminine touch to the look. I bought some earrings yesterday.
It appears lip gloss is the way to go. I even went to purchase a new lipstick. I’m excited about sprucing it up- the look that is. 🙂
